Retracing The Reiki Within

Chakras

The word "Chakra" is originally cakra (Sanskrit), dating back to between 600-2,000 BC from ancient Indian culture, meaning wheel and/or sun. Indian culture is one of the oldest in the world. Ancient Indian writings about Yoga (200 BC) refer Chakras as bodily centers of consciousness.

Chakras are located in the ethereal body and composed of high frequency energy threads. Each chakra vibrates at a different frequency of energy. The threads perform various multiple energy functions. The energy is strong enough that it can be picked up by a pendulum.

Chakras are seen as formation of lights and can be described as flames or flowers or cones or as pulsating energy or vortexes (spinning wheels) of energy or anything else that suits the description of the spectator.

The following context of chakras will be of human beings.

The Importance of Chakras

Chakras can become blocked, imbalanced, and/or muddied. When this condition happens a person will generally experience emotional and mental problems, since these areas are easiest affected in energy scope.

Generally the body is healthy (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually), when all chakras are open, clear, and balanced. When each chakra is perfectly tuned, the body is in utter bliss.

The ancient chakra system corresponds directly with the major human nerve which stem from the spinal column. The position of the chakras relate to the endocrine glands.

The degree of chakra activity depends on a combination of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual development of the individual.

The Major Chakras

There are seven major (composed of hundreds of high frequency energy threads) chakras: root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third-eye, and crown.
